China is a continent with 30 or more regional economies, each of which is in varying stages of transition and growth.  Typical benchmarks such as national Gross Domestic Product and Western-based theories of market competition, financial markets, consumer behavior and the role of the State-owned enterprises do not reliably apply.  Western-based publications can be limited in value in that they tend to be event-specific or high-level commentary, rather insightful regarding the deeper domestic issues at play.

We analyze China-related data and commentary on a daily basis.  For our clients we provide our views regarding key economic, policy or industry issues.  We do not profess to be better.  Rather, we seek to understand China on its own merits first, and then describe what we believe is happening, within the context of the rapidly changing continuum that is China.
