Robert Power
Robert Power has 25 years experience in law and business and facilitates investment between China and the international community.

Prior to leaving law Robert was recognized in the Top 100 US-Canada Cross Border attorneys and in Chambers Global “First Tier” of attorneys internationally.  He has been described as “an extraordinary manager and deal maker”.  Robert’s China-related roles include senior executive of CTReOrient, an investment arm of China Chengtong Holdings Group, a “Top 100” Chinese Central Level State-owned Enterprise in China;  Chair of Silk Road Resources, a foreign-owned gold exploration company operating in China; and advising on inbound and outbound investment across industries and negotiation of cross-border agreements.

Robert is a long standing member of  the Young President’s Organization (www.ypo.org), a global association of qualifying business owners and executive leaders.  He is the Vice-Chair of YPO’s Doing Business with China Network, an international network of members who invest in or operate in China.

John Chen
Lei “John” Chen has 25 years’ leadership experience in China’s banking sector, including as General Manager (CEO equivalent).  He participated in the negotiation and oversight of major real estate and infrastructure projects financed during South China’s recent rapid growth period.  John brings deep insight into two major business sectors, banking and real estate.

John joined People’s Bank of China, China’s central bank, in the area of risk audit of domestic banks.  He subsequently moved into commercial banking, initially as Chief Risk Control Officer for major transactions.  John became one of the youngest General Managers of a Chinese bank, where he had overall operational responsibility and managed relationships with some of China’s largest state-owned enterprises and private corporations.

John is a founding member of the exclusive Zhejiang Finance and Fortune Organization (ZFFO), an investing organization for banks, private equity firms and companies (including Jack Ma’s Alibaba).  ZFFO engagement occurs at both the CEO level and operational level.  John is Vice-General Secretary of ZFFO, through which he has a strong network of valuable in-China relations.

Amy Liu
Amy Liu has more than 15 years experience as an investment advisor and private equity investor in China and the United States, building on her prior commodity trading expertise.

Following schooling at the London School of Economics, Amy joined Venture Equity Management Inc, a private equity firm based in Chicago, USA with a focus on China-USA cross border mergers and acquisitions in the automobile and industrial manufacturing sectors, working on multiple and significant China-related transactions.

Amy returned to China in 2007 to become partner in an investment consulting firm, and then in a private equity firm, focusing on the clean technology and health care industries. Prior to joining Beijing Investment, Amy acted as Chief Operations Officer of a China national incubator for healthcare and bio-science entrepreneurs (www.bio-island.com).  Amy was responsible for drawing on both her industry expertise and private equity contacts to drive successful financing of early-stage clean technology and health care companies.
